Fall already!

I am so ready for fall I can smell it.  I thought to myself yesterday, how soon can I put out my fall decor and not seem Ridiculous.  I mean it will be out until the "other" holiday (Christmas) takes off.  I am ready for football, pumpkin spiced lattes, and weddings.  I loooove fall weddings. It is my favorite season by far, and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival.

Here are some fun fall weddings things from the internets:

Trend Alert: Send Off

Move over sparklers, bubbles, and bird seeds. There is a new Sheriff of the send off in town.   Chinese Wish Lanterns have become a budding trend in the wedding world.  They are beautiful and make for a great photo-op and site in the night sky.   Just do it before your guest get to "tipsy" always err on the side of caution. ;)

A few Retailers:

Light the fuel cell, wait for the lanterns to fill up with hot air and then let go. You and your guests will gaze as the Wish Lantern floats up to the sky.

Ruffles for days...

I love a good fun ruffle, and I am so glad they are back. The wedding industry has been flooded with ruffles and it is glorious.  You can even carry your ruffle theme straight into your new martial bedroom ;)

BBQ and Brides!

These two things don't automatically go together, but in the country its like "peas and carrots." I had the pleasure of attending a true country wedding this weekend.  It was a top a hill with nothing but tree lines and green as far as you can see.  The groom owns his own BBQ business so it was the perfect catering idea for this fun couple.  Sadly, I left my phone in the car, so I didn't catch any pictures of the wedding :(  but, here are a few I found on pinterest that I adore.

I mean, if you are going to do it, do it right :)

Fancy Shmancy

So, since I have been sticking my toe in the wedding biz, when I am a guest at other peoples weddings.  Or I see pictures of weddings I have gotten pretty good at guessing how much they spent on certain items, and in my personal opinion if that was a "waste" of $ or not.

For example.  The last wedding I went to they had monogrammed embossed paper hand towels in the bathroom.  Now, come on.  You are telling me instead of  an extra hour with the photographer, or an upgrade on their honeymoon they spent $100+ dollars on paper towel?!?!.  I guess I am more frugal (cheap) than that.  Ok, enough of my rant.  Do you want to look, but are on a budget?  Then do it yourself.  How?

1. Buy a $20 Embosser
2. Buy your desired amount of cocktail napkins, paper towels, etc.
3. Stamp away
4. Viola
