My new favorite Colors!

If you are getting married next fall, or heck even this fall these are my two favorite new colors together!!! Let me know if you are using them, I wanna live vicariously through you!

I am in LOVE with this color combination Grey and Orange (and I hate Orange), but something about it with the Grey makes me wanna do it all over again! Orange Calla Lillies are also STUNNING in a bouquet! Here are a few inspiration boards from the internets!

We are back from our Honeymoon, man we had a blast! If you have never cruised do it once in you life, food 25hrs a day, drinks at your disposal its great!!!

While on vacation I realized which direction I wanted to take my blog, bare with me it will be more entertaining than It sounds. I am going to cover married life.

For us example talking about another married couple (which we would never do)

Dave: "it must be hard being married to a saint" me: "Thanks Honey" Dave: "no, you know what I mean"

So sit back and I promise to keep you entertained! You bride's to be don't worry either, I have recaps coming to show you how to save some serious $$$ on your wedding and other tidbit to throw in as well! I wouldn't forget about you!

A Bridezilla Confessional:

I think you start this with a "Hail Mary" or something? As I sit back and reflect on our "big day" I realized I had a few Bridezilla moments though out the week of the wedding. I think it all started when I was afraid one of the Groom's brothers was going to be in the Hospital instead of the Church (luckily this didn't happen). Then a few "incidents" along the way. Here are a few I can remember, I am sure the people around me that week could think of a few more.....

  • Dave calls me Friday morning about when, where, and what for the day. We talk, hang up, and I realize my rehearsal outfit is at our apartment, I call him back he says "sure I'll grab it, but I have already left the house" I decided to call him back and say "Nah, forget it, I'll wear something else" He didn't answer this lead to my blood pressure reaching 200/150 every time his phone went to voice mail, I JUST TALKED TO HIM!....ugh Not my finest moment
  • 5:00pm on Friday (hour before rehearsal) Dave goes to pick up the Keg's, calls me "Keg's didn't get ordered, they are scrambling to find us some, she says she can have one delivered tonight" Its just beer right? So you would think! LOL
  • Morning of the wedding I sat in a Coma from about 8:00am until 12:00pm, thinking "rain, rain go away," "Listen to dad, take this all in enjoy it!" "I am going to kill my mother, why? no particular reason, she is just here?" NOT HER FAULT!

So these are the 3 highlights I could come up with from the wedding weekend and day of, It is funny to me what I would let go, and what I held onto, and chose to get angry about. In the end, Brides choose your battles and there isn't anything that is going to happen that weekend that will keep you from the alter!!!

Post-Wedding Depression!

Hello fellow wedding watchers! I am still reeling from my post-wedding depression, I need to find something else to do with my time now that I have free time again. Every day gets a little easier, I am just trying to hold on to those little moments that were so special on our Wedding Day!!! It is so weird to have something occupy you 24/7 and then POOF its over, kinda like Christmas morning once all the gifts have been opened!

D and I celebrated our Birthday's this weekend, and got to catch Def Leprechaun at Mulligan's in Nashville. It was a great time had by all, they even sang Happy Birthday to D in Gaelic, it made his night! We are headed to Mexico this weekend for our long awaited Honeymoon, HELLO FALL BREAK! So I will be busy this week packing and getting things ready for our big trip!!!!

Here are some wedding Blurb's from around the Internet's: snippet & ink

Red and yellow.

Some very practical, very helpful styling tips.

Sugar and spice.

Inspired by black and white polka dots.

More things to add to the registry: spoons and soup cans.

I think it's safe to say it now: donuts are the next big wedding trend (and I'm totally okay with that).

Loving this alternative to a veil - modern at vintage at the same time.

Hand-lettering makes me happy, via Oh So Beautiful Paper.

An autumn heart.
